As angry as it makes me, it looks like Button is out at McLaren. (Nicest, most charming man I have ever met that Button) I would love to see him at Williams right now, but I don't want Bottas to be ousted. I really dislike Hamilton this year, and if he wins the WDC, I can say I will be a tad miffed. The Austin race was good, the cars sound super neat, but quiet. How was the USGP for everyone else?

I don't particularly care for Hamilton myself, however I think between the 2 Merc drivers, he deserves the WDC this year. He's driven brilliantly, and overcome some hefty obstacles. (namely, the DNFs). Nico isn't the better of the two drivers, although I'd say he's improved massively from the past couple years. I agree with you about Button though, it's a shame that this could be the end of his career, although he has had a long one. I thought after 09 he had another title in him, but it hasn't shaped up to be that way. I'm glad Williams is staying as it is, Bottas is brilliant and Massa has done very well this year also, even through all his shitty luck.

Watched it on Channel 2 here at home hahaha

My cousin was a paramedic at the grand prix this weekend. I think he was doing it as a volunteer work. He got to see some great stuff. He was a paramedic last year as well.

I've never been the biggest Ham fan, but I've been impressed with how he's gotten on with the program. He's become very focused on the prize, and unless he gets screwed by those ridiculous double points at the end of the season, I think he's deserving of the title. As for the race itself, it was pretty typical, with the Mercs far ahead but great battles in the middle and at the front of the middle. If we didn't have that damned engine rule, and the teams had been allowed to develop their engines, we might have had a really crackerjack season. I think F1 is on the verge of being exciting, but it keeps getting throttled by the rules. There was in inkling today that Bernie might release more money to the smaller teams, the "racers" as opposed to the constructors as one person said. I would love to see that. But on the whole, a good race, though rather predictable.

Racing was amazing, sound was not very F1 like, not a fan of the sound (or lack there of). Only thing that was wrong on raceday. Everything else was perfect and super awesome.

I mean really... Izod Indycars (also V6T) and the F1 one cars last year made my ears bleed, which is awesome! Shit, up on Turn 1 during LoneStar LeMans, those Rebellion LMP1 were just screaming! I can hear them clearly right after Turn 20 all the way up to turn 1. Epic noise!!!! Yesterday though, the only sound I could hear was as they were acceleration out of turn 1. Sooo sad.

Hehe, But but button. If he goes to Porsche, that's fine, but I think he would be happier in F1, and I know I would be happy seeing him in a McLaren Honda

If bernie releases more cash to the smaller teams, that would be amazing

I imagine they are going to start revving more and more. And I think the exhaust design will change

I don't know, I really like Bottas, but something about Felipe rubs me the wrong way

I believe they were only about 2.5 seconds off of 2013 times during Qualy this year

actually, Rosberg did a new lap record. 1.36.0 compared to Vettle's 1.39 in 2013

Kate Walker had an interesting little piece over on ESPN F1 the other day, talking about Bernie's mea culpa over financing. Here's a bit from the article:

"The problem is there is too much money probably being distributed badly - probably my fault," he acknowledged. "But, like lots of agreements people make, they seemed a good idea at the time. If the company belonged to me I would have done things in a different way because it would have been my money I was dealing with. I work for people who are in the business to make money.

"It makes no difference to me how the money is shared out. If they sat down here with me now and said they want to share out all of the money we get in a different way, I would say, 'Good, give me the bit of paper'. We have to open the eyes of those people in a position to turn the lights on and off to what they need to do because I wouldn't want to be in a position where I was too strong and Formula One disappears and someone says it is because of you it disappeared."

It sounds a bit too much like Pontius Pilate to me. "Sure I made this mess, but what can I do about it now?" *washes his hands*

You don't like Felipe? I've always found him pretty likeable, not a lot of shit talking and its good to see him doing better this year.

Oh ok, that's kind of how I feel about Gutierrez and Sutil. I don't not like them, but I don't really care either way about them in F1. I'd rather have DiResta back in F1 than one of them, I thought he had a promising future in the sport, he wasn't bad at all.

Ham splits the difference between being cocky and respectful in the worst way. When he's winning he acts like he's a good sport, when he's losing all he does is make excuses and whine. Not a fan. #TeamKimi

I think that's a pretty good explanation, though he seems to do most of his whining during the race. He says all the right things to the cameras (most of the time).
